Montgomerie Links

Designed by and named for Colin Montgomerie, European PGA Tour luminary and 2010 Ryder Cup Captain, The Montgomerie Links was voted Vietnam’s best new course when it opened in August 2009 — the first 18-hole course in the Central Coast region. With its state-of-the-art golf academy and sleek new 3,000-square-metre clubhouse, it brought a new level of sophistication to the country’s golf scene. It also introduced the firm, fast, often windblown playing experience of links golf, while still embracing its distinctly Vietnamese setting: casuarina pines and other indigenous vegetation, a dune-studded topography bordering the East Sea, and views of the Marble Mountains. Multiple tees for the par 72 layout, ranging from as much as 7,090 yards to as little as 5,200 yards, make for a malleable challenge for players of all abilities. And the friendly and accommodating staff, outstanding eateries — along with the world-class course design — make Montgomerie Links the kind of layout that visitors to Vietnam’s Golf Coast will want to play early and often.
